Lee Lewis General Contractor, Inc. was formed in 1976 with the paramount principles of customer service and building client relationships. That philosophy has been a foundation for the past 40 years of Lee Lewis Construction.

Awarded Top 400 Contractors in the Nation

Lee Lewis Construction, Inc. has been recognized by Engineering News Record as one of the Top 400 Contractors in the Nation. To date, LLCI has been received this honor continuously since 1984.

1990

Name changed to Lee Lewis Construction, Inc.

In 1990, the name of the company was changed from Lee Lewis General Contractor, Inc. to Lee Lewis Construction, Inc.

1990

Catastrophe Canyon

Lee Lewis constructed the Catastrophe Canyon and the Indiana Jones: Epic Stunt Spectacular for Walt Disney World in 1990. Both projects required innovative construction methods with sophisticated mechanical systems for water, gas, and hydraulics.

1991

Disney Grand Floridian Convention Center

Lee Lewis built the Walt Disney Grand Floridian Convention Center in 1991. Disney’s Grand Floridian Convention Center combines old-world charm with the latest technology to create an unparalleled meeting experience. Located next to the Grand Floridian Resort and Spa on the Walt Disney World Grounds, the Convention Center provides over 40,000-SF of flexible function space, two elegant ballrooms, 16 break-out rooms, meeting planner’s office and a dedicated business center.

1995

Dallas Office Opens

Lee Lewis Construction, Inc. expanded their company to the Dallas area in 1995. They opened their office at 17177 Preston Road, Suite 160, Dallas, Texas 75248.

2004

Excellence in Interior Design & Award of Merit for Sports/Entertainment

Lee Lewis was awarded Excellence in Interior Design and an award of Merit Sports/Entertainment for the Texas Tech University Jones AT&T Stadium West Building in 2004.

Austin Office Opens

In 2006, Lee Lewis Construction, Inc. opened their third location in Austin, Texas. Their office is located at 8303 N. Mopac Expy, Suite A215, Austin, Texas 78759.

Lee Lewis was awarded Excellence in Interior Design for the Texas Tech University Student Building, the Texas Tech University Experimental Sciences American School & University, and the Texas Tech University Animal and Food Sciences American School & University

Texas Construction 2006 Topping Out - Top Finalist

Lee Lewis was a Top Finalist for the Texas Construction Award in 2006 for the Garland ISD Special Events Center.

Building of America Plaque of Honor

Lee Lewis received the Building of America Plaque of Honor for the Toyota Stadium (previously named Pizza Hut Park) in Frisco, TX and the City of Frisco City Hall & Public Library in Frisco, TX.

2007 Texas Construction Best of ’07 & Bi-Annual Design Award

2007 Texas Construction Best of ’07 and the Bi-Annual Design Award was awarded to Lee Lewis Construction, Inc. for Grace Clinic in Lubbock, TX.

George A. Purefoy Municipal Center Awards

In 2008, Lee Lewis received multiple awards for the George A. Purefoy Municipal Center. They included the Tucker Design Award for “Excellence in the use of Natural Stone,” Marble Institute Pinnacle Award, the Texas Masonry Council Golden Trowel Award, and the Stone Business Prism Award.

Contractor of the Year

Lee Lewis was awarded as the Contractor of the Year by the Dallas Chapter of the American Institute of Architects.

TASA-TASB Design Award

The Andrews ISD Performance Center was built in 2008 by LLCI and was awarded the TASA-TASB Design Award.

2009

CNA Safety Award

CNA chose 56 accounts throughout the country to receive their Leadership Safety Award. Of the 56 recognized accounts, Lee Lewis Construction was the 19th largest account, based on premiums, to receive this award. Also, there was no other CNA account in the state of Texas to receive this award. The award is based on input from the CNA Risk Control representative, Eric Hale, who evaluates LLC based on their dedication to safety, participation in CNA training programs such as the OSHA 10 hour, fall protection seminar, fleet safety, ergonomics at the construction site and job site observations throughout the year.

Lee Lewis received the TASA-TASB Value Award and the TASA-TASB Process of Planning, Design, Innovation Award for Andrews ISD and Sustainability Award and Frisco ISD Heritage High School.

In 2010, Lee Lewis was awarded with the Golden Trowel Awards and the TEXO Distinguished Building Award.

Lee Lewis won the 2011 TASA-TASB Value award for Process of Planning, Educational Appropriateness, Innovation, and Sustainability Awards for Plano ISD R.C. Clark High School.

In 2012, Lee Lewis won a Reconstruction/Addition/Restoration award from Learning by Design Outstanding Project for Lockney ISD High School.

Lee Lewis was awarded the 2013 Bi-Annual Design Award of Citation AIA for the Dan Law Field at Rip Griffin Park as well as the University Medical Center of East Tower
