Kappa Kappa Gamma | KKG Sorority Lodge, TTU Chapter

Lubbock, Texas

About the project

With over 220 young women and an annual new member class of approximately 80 students, the Texas Tech University chapter of Kappa Kappa Gamma, Delta Psi, recognized the need for a new lodge for their members. Located at #9 Greek Circle, the newly constructed Kappa lodge is considered a home-away-from-home for Kappa Sisters. Prominent features include a grand front entrance facing east, which is balanced with a main entrance on the west facade, providing a dual-entry design. Upon entering the lodge through a pair of artisan doors, visitors, members and alumni are presented with a grand split-staircase that leads to the large Chapter Room on the second level. Additional features include gathering areas, a large kitchen, meeting rooms, ancillary spaces, numerous study areas, and windows trimmed with stone and cast-iron balconies. The interior contains muted golds and creams, allowing the Kappa blues to shine on top of rich wood tones. This palette creates a warm, inviting space for current and future generations of Kappa Kappa Gamma Sisters to call home.
