New Home ISD - New Home Elementary School

New Home, TX

About the project

New Home ISD enrollment is increasing due to families moving into their community, which necessitated the expansion of facilities to maintain appropriate teacher-student ratios, offer new opportunities, and eliminate portable classrooms. The student population has grown 50% over the past decade, and with more students, the district needed to ensure class sizes remained manageable and conducive to learning, requiring additional classrooms. The new elementary school is adjacent to the future junior high school, which is slated to be completed in 2027.

The new facility allows for the introduction and/or expansion of programs like band and theater, enriching the educational experience. It also allows for the removal of portable buildings, which were only a temporary solution, offering a more permanent and cohesive learning environment. The construction of the new school was designed to accommodate anticipated growth in the area, ensuring adequate capacity and providing appropriate facilities for students for years to come.
