The Plainview Police Station involved relocating the police department to the then-current city hall building and renovating the structure. The new facility houses Police Administration, Dispatch, Patrol, and Investigation Services, and includes upgraded Emergency Operations Center capabilities.

The relocation provided the necessary space and modern amenities to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the police department, supporting its mission to serve and protect the community. This renovation addressed ongoing issues with outdated mechanical equipment, plumbing, electrical systems, and structural defects, ensuring a safer and more functional environment for both police personnel and the public.
