Texas Tech University - Jones AT&T Stadium South End Zone & Womble Football Center
Lubbock, TX
About the project
The Womble Football Center and South End Zone Expansion at Texas Tech University represents a transformative renovation of the Jones AT&T Stadium and adjacent football training complex. Spanning approximately 5 acres, this ambitious project redefines both the athlete and fan experience through a comprehensive modernization of facilities and infrastructure.
The new four-story South End Zone structure seamlessly integrates with the Dustin R. Womble Football Center, forming one of the largest contiguous football facilities in the country—boasting over 300,000 square feet dedicated to athletic development and fan amenities. The stadium includes a field level, concourse, coaches’ offices, premium club and suite levels, and a film review area, complete with high-end finishes and food service installations.
The adjoining two-story training facility features state-of-the-art spaces for coaching, athletic training, hydrotherapy, and equipment management, along with a theater and offices. Notable additions include the Scovell Family Locker Room, an expanded strength and conditioning weight room, and a high-tech walkthrough room equipped with a digital wall display to simulate opposing team formations.
The fan experience is equally elevated through luxurious loge boxes, gameday suites, and enhanced concourse amenities. Site development included mass grading, demolition, utilities, paving, retention walls, hardscapes, and landscaping.
