City of Frisco | Aquatic & Recreation Center
Frisco, TX
About the project
The Frisco Recreation & Aquatic Center sits on 19 acres and spans 100,000 square feet, including 18,000 square feet of indoor aquatics – plus a 21,000 square foot Fitness Room featuring state of the art weights and cardiovascular machines. More specifically, the indoor water features include a slide, a play structure, a ‘lazy river’, whirlpool, therapy pool, and large pool, which will accommodate lap swim and water aerobics. The facility also houses two gyms, two racquet ball courts, two multipurpose classrooms, two aerobic/dance studios, a teen room, a game room, ‘kids’ room and a café in the remaining, inside space. Outside water features include two slides, a “river”, a lagoon pool and a larger, play structure. All together, the indoor and outdoor recreational offerings are dressed in a “Hill Country” theme.
