Greenwood ISD - Multi-Purpose Practice Facility
Greenwood, TX
About the project
The Greenwood ISD Multi-purpose practice facility was part of the 2023 Greenwood school bond that was passed and will be built next to the J.M. King Memorial Stadium fieldhouse. The multi-purpose facility will be used not only by the athletics teams but also by the band and cheerleading squads to train indoors, especially when the weather gets above 100 degrees. The facility serves as home to 13 varsity sports, hosting events like powerlifting meets, band practices, fall festivals, and project graduations, and also has the unique ability to serve as an extension of the classroom.
The 65-yard-long facility has a turf field, surrounded by a track, as well as drop-down batting cages, a training room, coaches’ offices, storage, and restrooms.
“This facility will be a mainstay of the Greenwood Ranger student experience. It will be a beacon of school spirit, not only for the people of this school but also the community.”
