StarCenter Multisport - Northlake
Northlake, TX
About the project
The StarCenter Multisport Facility opened in late 2025, delivering a state-of-the-art, approximately 225,000-square-foot indoor sports and recreation complex designed to expand athletic, tournament, and community programming throughout North Texas. Constructed with first-class quality and finishes consistent with existing StarCenter facilities across the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, the facility serves as a versatile destination for youth sports, tournaments, training, and community events.
The expansive facility is organized around a central main corridor, with two NHL-level ice hockey rinks on one side and a large gymnasium on the other. The gymnasium accommodates eight regulation basketball courts, which can be converted to 16 volleyball courts or 16 pickleball courts, along with space for sand volleyball and other recreational activities. The ice rinks each measure 200 feet by 85 feet and are supported by dedicated locker rooms, programming spaces, spectator viewing areas, party and meeting rooms, retail and concession spaces, skate rental, and back-of-house facilities.
Both sides of the facility feature ground-level spines with locker rooms, public restrooms, and large concession centers, while the second floor provides expansive spectator observation decks and a state-of-the-art weight-training room. Additional amenities support athletes, spectators, staff, and event operations, creating a highly flexible venue capable of hosting multiple events and sports simultaneously.
The project also included comprehensive site development across the approximately 17-acre site, including parking, utilities, sidewalks, hardscape, landscaping, and other site improvements. As construction manager, Lee Lewis Construction coordinated the delivery of this complex, highly specialized facility and its extensive athletic, spectator, and site components, helping bring a major new sports destination to the rapidly growing Town of Northlake.
