City of Garland | Fire Training Complex

Garland, Texas

About the project

The City of Garland renovated a former manufacturing site on 20 acres for the Complex. The 53,000 SF renovated building houses EMS offices, a Fire Marshal’s office, the training division, support services, a workout room, and several classrooms. The five-acre training field features a 22,000 SF training center with drill tower, a structure for "burning building" exercises, a flash-over chamber, high rise apartment, and driving course. With these new facilities, the City of Garland can train 24 recruits at the same time and can accommodate regional classes for the National Fire Academy.
