City of Sachse - Municipal Campus
Sachse, TX
About the project
The City of Sachse Municipal Complex encompasses four buildings; including the relocation and construction of Sachse’s City Hall, the Public Safety Building, the Fire Station No. 1, improvements to the Laurie Schwenk Senior Activity Center and renovations to the Public Library. The campus-style environment provides a central location for the community. The 35,000 SF three-story City Hall includes Council Chambers and Municipal Courtroom. The new two-story Public Safety Building is approximately 35,000 SF and houses the Police Department and Sachse Fire and Rescue Station. Renovations to the library involved making the exterior of the building match the new buildings, and changing the primary entrance and roof lines of the building. Renovations to the existing Police building into the Senior Citizens Center consisted of interior and exterior renovations to closely match the new buildings and to provide a more effective space for senior citizens programs. There is an amphitheater located directly behind the Municipal Complex and it is surrounded by a 0.6-mile walking/jogging trail.
