New elementary school to serve 800 students in Grades 1-3. The new facility was constructed on the site of the existing elementary school. Due to an overlap of the two facilities, a phased approach was required which will see the academic portion of the new school built and then the academic portion of the existing school demolished to make way for the core space portion of the new building. The main entrance opens directly onto a commons that is shared by the gym, cafetorium, administration and library. The school includes spaces for life skills, main academic areas, cafetorium, library, music and multi-functionality green room or staging area, and a computer lab. The design creates three distinct academic wings currently planned to be grade specific. Each wing includes 12 classrooms, a flex classroom and all necessary support spaces.
