Highland Park ISD | Clements, Jr. Leadership Center

Dallas, TX

About the project

The William P. Clements, Jr. Leadership Center is a 50,000 SF state-of-the-art multi-use facility providing meeting rooms, athletic offices, training equipment, and the district natatorium for Highland Park's growing enrollment. HPHS has collected many prestigious awards throughout the school’s 90-year history, requiring the 45-ft tall trophy case to display achievements from the past and make space for those to come. The long-span monumental stairs lead to a light-filled upper level that can be divided into three meeting spaces or opened up for one large function. The staircase adds a sense of grandeur to the building, making it a premier destination for district and community meetings, gatherings, and events. Adjacent to the sports offices and locker rooms is a 4,000 SF state-of-the-art weight room designed with a recessed floor and a compressible mat to reduce the sound of weights hitting the floor. The natatorium features an 8-lane, 25-yard competition-level pool designed with Myrtha Technology, helping swimmers gain milliseconds in their lap times. This innovative technology uses stainless steel modular panels with a PVC layer, to create completely welded, thicker walls to prevent corrosion.
