Lubbock County - CRTC
Lubbock, TX
About the project
The Lubbock County Court Residential Treatment Center (CRTC) has undergone renovations to support evolving rehabilitation programs for adult residents. These renovations were driven by the need to update the facility to accommodate the latest programs and a growing resident population. The CRTC Phase IV Renovation included interior demolition, full renovation of the administration offices and Pod B, and construction of a new reinforced CMU addition. The addition includes offices, classrooms, restrooms, a kitchen, dining area, and support spaces, with upgrades to all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems. Driven by changes in rehabilitation programs that prioritize cognitive skills over manual labor, the renovations support higher success rates and increased capacity, enabling the state-operated facility to serve up to 130 residents as part of Lubbock County’s broader Capital Improvement Program.
