About the project
: Mars North America (now Mars Wrigley) operates a major manufacturing facility in Waco, Texas, situated on a 160-acre site. As the world’s largest producer of chocolate, confections, gum, and mints, the Waco plant plays a critical role in the company’s operations. Originally established in 1976, the facility has grown significantly over the years. A key milestone in its expansion was the addition of a 200,000-square-foot warehouse, designed to enhance production capacity and support the increasing demand for iconic products such as Snickers, Starburst, and Skittles. This two-story steel and concrete structure brought the total plant size to over 600,000 square feet, reinforcing Waco’s status as a central hub for Mars Wrigley’s North American manufacturing operations.
