Texas Tech University - Football Training Facility

Lubbock, TX

About the project

Built in 2004, the Football Training Facility houses more than 100 student-athletes daily with athletic training, strength and conditioning, and nutrition facilities, as well as office space for Texas Tech’s entire coaching staff and support staff. The facility features the Spike Dykes Team Meeting Room, which boasts auditorium-style seating for every student-athlete, coach and support staff member. The main lobby was upgraded in 2009 with the installation of a Hall of Fame dedicated to the history and tradition of Texas Tech Football. The redesign included jerseys, trophies, a year-by-year timeline as well as a list of All-Americans and NFL players on display. Texas Tech has renovated the facility several times in recent years, notably with a $1.6 million upgrade to its locker room that upgraded its amenities with 120 steel lockers to go along with a new players’ lounge, a state-of-the-art lighting system, and 60-inch high-definition televisions scattered throughout
